FireChess

FireChess is a chess-like game that includes elements of economy and spell casting. Join the discord here:

Players earn a base gold each turn. They earn additional gold when occupying gold spaces. Gold can be used to purchase pieces from the shop and place them on the board. Special mage pieces can move and use abilities but cannot capture. Double-clicking on a mage allows a player to use their special ability.

Fire Mage - Creates a fire in an unoccupied space. Pieces that move through fire are removed.

Frost Mage - Freezes a unit. Frozen pieces cannot move or use abilities during this time.

Fog Mage - Creates a 3x3 fog area. Pieces inside a fog space are invisible to opponents.

Kinetic - Force a piece to move over 1 space to any unoccupied square.

Waymaker - Spawns a portal tunnel. Pieces can move through the portals covering large distances. Pawns can even be promoted after moving through a portal to the last rank!

Swapper - Swaps 2 pieces. These can be ally or enemy pieces.

Scout - Can't capture but can't be taken either, except by kings. Scouts can clear fog and fire.
