Indie Freaks (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, guidelines such as the Guidelines for the Protection of Personal Information, and other related laws and regulations regarding the handling of personal information obtained by the Company in the services provided by the Company (hereinafter referred to as "the Services").

The Company shall comply with the following matters regarding the collection, use, and provision of personal information:

Collection of Personal Information: The Company may collect personal information from general users (hereinafter referred to as "Users") or advertisers (hereinafter referred to as "Advertisers") of the information site Indie Freaks (hereinafter referred to as "the Site") to the extent necessary for the operation of the Site.

  2. Purpose of Use of Personal Information: The Company shall not use personal information beyond the scope necessary to achieve the following purposes, except as provided by law or with the consent of the individual:

    ・For providing, maintaining, protecting, and improving the Services, including processing registration, identity verification, and fee calculation

    ・For responding to inquiries and providing information about the Services

    ・For addressing violations of the Company's terms, policies, and other regulations (hereinafter referred to as "Terms")

  4. Provision of Personal Information: The Company shall not provide personal information obtained with consent to third parties without prior consent of the individual, except as required by law.

4. Changes to the Purpose of Use

The Company shall not change the purpose of use specified in the preceding paragraph except with the prior consent of the individual. However, this shall not apply when the Company changes the purpose of use after announcing the changed purpose of use in advance, within a scope that can be reasonably considered to have substantial relevance to the original purpose of use.

5. Third-Party Provision of Personal Information

The Company shall not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the User's prior consent, except as permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other laws and regulations. However, this shall not apply in the following cases:

  1. ・When the Company outsources all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use

    ・When personal information is provided due to business succession resulting from merger or other reasons

    ・When it is necessary to cooperate with a national government organ, local government, or a person commissioned by them to execute affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the User's consent might impede the execution of such affairs

    ・In other cases permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations

6. Disclosure of Personal Information

When requested by a User to disclose personal information based on the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, the Company shall, after confirming that the request is from the User themselves, disclose such information to the User without delay (or notify the User if such personal information does not exist). However, this shall not apply when the Company is not obligated to disclose such information under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations. Please note that a handling fee (1,000 yen per case) will be charged for the disclosure of personal information.

7. Correction and Suspension of Use of Personal Information

  1. When requested by a User to correct personal information based on the Act on the Protection of Personal Information because it is not true, or when requested for notification of the purpose of use, disclosure, correction, addition or deletion of content, suspension of use, erasure, or suspension of third-party provision (hereinafter referred to as "Disclosure, etc."), the Company shall, after confirming that the request is from the User themselves, conduct necessary investigation without delay and based on the results, correct or suspend the use of personal information and notify the User accordingly. If the Company decides not to make corrections or suspend use based on reasonable grounds, the User shall be notified accordingly.
  2. When requested by a User to delete their personal information, and when the Company determines that it needs to respond to such request, the Company shall, after confirming that the request is from the User themselves, delete the personal information and notify the User accordingly.
  3. The preceding two paragraphs shall not apply when the Company is not obligated to perform Disclosure, etc., or corrections under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations.

8. Improvement and Review of Personal Information Handling

The Company shall conduct inspections of its personal information handling, management system, and initiatives, and continuously improve and review them.

9. Disposal of Personal Information

When personal information is no longer necessary in light of its purpose of use, the Company shall delete or dispose of such personal information, and such deletion and disposal shall be carried out using necessary and appropriate methods to prevent external leakage and other risks, to the extent necessary for the execution of business.

11. Procedure for Changes to Privacy Policy

The Company shall regularly review the handling of user information and strive for continuous improvement, and may change this policy as necessary. When changes are made, Users will be notified through publication on this site. However, if changes require User consent under law, the Company shall obtain User consent through prescribed methods.
